Deanie Parker

Deanie serves as president of South Memphis Music. She began her career at STAX music in 1964 and remained there until 1976. Parker was later a pillar in developing the STAX Museum of American Soul Museum, Soulsville Charter School, and the STAX Academy. She recently received 2 Grammys for the Box Set - STAX Music Written in their Souls (for Album notes and Best Historical Album) Deanie continues to serve as an ambassador for Memphis music both locally and globally.
